Fimo Flowers: Orchids, Petunias, Lilies, or Dahlias? (Or Maybe Just Flowers!)

Flowers are always in bloom in my world of handmade jewelry, especially when it comes to polymer clay. Today, I’m excited to share a collection of floral-inspired pieces I created with fimo clay. While I didn’t specifically recreate orchids, petunias, or dahlias, I find these charming little flowers bring a fresh, vibrant vibe to each piece.

In fact, these polymer clay beads were made as part of the same collection, with each piece crafted in a simple yet effective way. No powders or charcoal needed—just a bit of shaping and creativity to form beautiful rondelles topped with delicate flowers. The result? Gorgeous, one-of-a-kind jewelry perfect for adding a floral touch to any everyday look.

For these pieces, I kept the fimo clay relatively simple for the rondelles themselves. The flowers, however, were given a glossy finish using Cernit’s clear varnish to make the petals shine. I find the contrast between the matte clay and the glossy flower petals creates a lovely, eye-catching effect.

Some of these pieces transformed into colorful, dangling earrings that are just the right length for (approaching) spring and summer —light, bright, and perfect for adding a pop of color to anything. Other pieces will make a beautiful addition to necklaces, for a playful or elegant floral touch.

These handmade fimo flowers come together in a lovely mini-series, with vibrant, pastel tones that evoke the spirit of sunny days and warm weather. Here they are, all together :

Why Choose Polymer Clay Jewelry?
